Study Arabic in the summer – partially paid for!

The Qatar Foundation International is once again offering some partial scholarships to students who want to study Arabic in the summer.  This year, there are two options:

1) The Middlebury Monterey Language Academy offers four-week intensive summer language programs for high school students.  At this program, you’ll study hard and have a lot of fun–and only use the language you are learning at all times!  Students applying for this program should indicate in their application that they would like to apply for QFI financial support, and notify their teacher that they are applying.  The scholarship covers the full cost of attendance plus travel expenses.

When: June 24 – July 19, 2012.

Where: Oberlin, Ohio

Deadline: Rolling admissions

2) If you’d like to study Arabic in the summer but you don’t think a summer intensive is for you, consider applying to attend the Concordia Arabic Language Village in Minnesota.  Offering two- and four-week programs, Concordia combines the fun of camp with language learning.  Scholarships for 50-80% of tuition are available, depending on need.

When: Multiple sessions offered:

Four weeks: July 23 – August 18. Pre-scholarship cost: $4050. Scholarship covers 50-80% of cost.

Two weeks: August 6 – August 18. Pre-scholarship cost: $1770. Scholarship covers 50-80% of cost.

Deadline for application: May 1, 2012

Where: Moorehead, Minnesota
