Portland Redesigns a Slice of Arabia

Portland is a leading U.S. city in sustainable design–but it’s very different from other international urban centers that face looming  environmental crises. So what can areas like the Middle East learn from Portland?

To learn more, come to “Portland Redesigns a Slice of Arabia,”a discussion between a Portland urban design expert and an Emirati engineer who will share their vision for sustainability in one of the world’s toughest environments.

Attention, Arabic students! You can get extra credit for attending this event and writing about it in accordance with the extra-credit guidelines.

This free event will take place on Monday October 18 at 6:00 p.m, at Jimmy Mak’s (221 Northwest 10th Avenue, Portland, OR).
